As you think so are you!

Prov. 23:7For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:

How we think relates to how we act.  If a person thinks God is unimportant, in their lives he will be.  If a person thinks it’s not important to spend time reading and studying God’s Word, it will not be a priority in their lives.  If people in the church think it doesn’t matter about holy living anymore, it won’t be to them.

Today you will find hundreds, thousands of secular books stating that if you want to be successful, you must think that way, if you want to win, you have to believe that you can. These books teach that you must believe and think that you can if you want to accomplish something in your life.

They teach that you must take the steps necessary to accomplish whatever it is that the person may strive for.  They teach it will be hard work and you will need to have discipline in your lives to accomplish your goals.  In many cases, the world uses Biblical teachings to teach these basic principles that Christians ignore.

How about you? How are you thinking about knowing God, reading your Bible, witnessing to others? It is hard work, and it takes discipline to not only spend time with God in prayer, but to study and read your Bible.

Each Christian must believe that it is important to know God and know His word. If we think this way, we will make these areas of our lives a priority.
